Journeyman Services: Starlab and Cosmodome

Journeyman now offers two incursion services to choose from, both using inflatable domes, and both with complimentary folios of worksheets and star charts for the evenings of school visits. Starlab and Cosmodome may offer different content, but they achieve the same result for students of all ages - uniquely teaching subjects that are very hard to convey in a standard classroom.

Who are Journeyman Education Services?

Journeyman Education Services (a division of Journeyman Tours Pty Ltd.) is a completely independent private company, family-owned and financed, without Government subsidy or commercial sponsorship. We are very proud of the service we have offered to Victorian schools for over twelve years, and the great reputation we have enjoyed with our Starlab Portable Planetariums.

To maintain our unique position in the forefront of science incursions, we have now added Cosmodome, which is best described as a mobile "Imax" type theatre, with full-dome projection of movies and astronomical features. Cosmodome resulted from our collaboration with Swinburne University of Technology and the scientists in their Department of Astrophysics and Super Computing, and has already proved enormously popular with teachers and students.
